Ballet Dress Code

Ballet has a strict dress code that enables the teacher to best see and evaluate each student. Teachers must be able to see the ankles, knees, hips, ribcage, neck, face, shoulders and elbows clearly. The RAD approved skirt helps train the demi-bras position of the arms. Jewellery and other items are a distraction to both student and teacher and are not permitted in any class.

It is fine to wear t-shirt and shorts or leggings for your first lesson. It is important to see students' feet working so dancing the first lesson barefoot is perfect.

How our ballet boutique works...

A sample rail of RAD regulation uniform is available for the first three weeks of each term from 2.30 to 5.30 on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Step 1.   Try samples for correct size and ensure that Gabriella, Julie or Elaine has checked your choices.

Step 2.  Select appropriate colour for age and class.

Step 3. Fill in the order form.

Step 4. Payment must be included with the order.

Step 5. Place order and payment into the  boutique box at ballet studio door.

Step 6. Collect your child’s ballet uniform the next week.
