These images, taken by Artist and Designer Lisa Catherwood in April and May 2009, were originally commissioned for the ballet school website and some small publicity projects.

However, the dancers are so photogenic and the atmosphere of the school so clearly captured we felt that those who must remain on the 'outside of the doors' might like an opportunity to see the classes in action.

Thank-you to all dancers, teachers and parents who were involved.

Parents who wonder what attracts their children to ballet will glimpse something of the magic, wonder, charm, and pathos in these images.

The sense of fun and energy, inspired by Clare and her team, is electric.

The rapt attention of the dancers, the sense of merriment and delight in their physical confidence, is inspirational.

Forever these little hands and feet are ballet trained and, with their wands aloft, they step forward into life with a sense of purpose and hope for the future.
